she wanted to be human before she even saw eric, actually. remember that song part of your world? yeah that happened before eric even came into the picture. sure, eric was the one thing that FINALLY made her make the change, but it was a dream of hers for a long time (i mean for fucks sake, look at that fucking trove of treasures untold. that is YEARS of snagging stuff from shipwrecks).
